Before you start
You need to be 18, or older if Malawi sets a higher bar. You need a phone number and an email you can actually reach. And you need a payment method in your own name — that last one is not a formality, it is the thing that most often costs people their winnings later.
The terms also make it your responsibility, not the operator's, to check that online betting is legal where you live.
Three ways to sign up
Most people go with the phone number. Here is how the options compare:
| Method | Time | What you provide | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mobile number | ~1 minute | Phone + password | Most players — the SMS code adds security |
| ~2 minutes | Email + password | Anyone without steady phone access | |
| One-click | Under 30 seconds | Nothing extra | People in a hurry — but finish your profile after |
One-click is genuinely the fastest way in, but it leaves your profile half-built. You will have to complete it before your first withdrawal anyway, so the minute you save now is a minute you spend later, usually at a worse moment.
Step by step with a phone number
The name field is not a formality
The terms require your legal name, say the operator may verify it, and state that you cannot freely change it afterwards — corrections go through support, individually, for genuine mistakes only.
Three things get cross-checked when you withdraw: the name on your profile, the name on your ID document, and the name on your payment method. All three have to match. In markets where names get transliterated into Latin script, spelling variants are the usual failure point — pick the exact spelling from the document you plan to upload and use that everywhere.
Errors people hit, and what they mean
| Message | What is happening | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Number already registered" | You have an account already | Use login, not registration — recovery if you have lost the password |
| No SMS arrives | Carrier filtering or wrong country code | Check the code, wait a minute, then resend once |
| Site will not open | Domain rotation or regional blocking | Use the Android app, which handles addresses automatically |
| "Password too weak" | Below the minimum complexity | Eight or more characters mixing letters and digits |
| Promo field missing | It is collapsed | Look for a small "I have a promo code" link |
One account. Really.
This rule is stricter here than at most operators and it is worth reading twice. You may hold one account, and only one is permitted per household, IP address, and computer or device. If two people genuinely share a connection, both are supposed to tell the operator in advance.
If duplicates turn up, the terms allow the operator to close any or all accounts, void every bet placed in them, cancel bonuses, void withdrawal requests, and forfeit all winnings accrued during the duplicate account's life. There is a follow-on clause too: once an account is closed, future accounts from the same person, device, address or payment method can be closed as well.
Verification — do it now, not later
Before your first withdrawal you will be asked for documents. The full list from the terms:
- A personal identification document
- Proof of address
- Card photos, front and back, with the first six and last four digits readable and everything in between plus the CVV covered
- A bank statement
- Proof you own any other payment method you have used
Phone or face verification is sometimes requested on top.
And one more rule about deposits
Money you deposit has to be wagered at least once before you can withdraw. The terms also let the operator refuse a payout if your total bets come to less than your last deposit. You do not need to win — you need to have played. Deposit and immediately request a withdrawal and it gets declined.
Your first ten minutes, in order
- Finish the profile — name, contact details, everything.
- Verify your phone or email so bonuses can credit and recovery works.
- Turn on two-factor authentication.
- Upload your KYC documents.
- Claim the 200 free spins with code 8W8W.
- Install the app if you are on Android — it is the most reliable way in.
Ten minutes now removes almost every problem people write to support about later.
Choosing your account currency
WePari supports over 100 currencies, and the choice affects more than display. Your account currency determines which payment methods appear in your cashier and whether conversion premiums apply.
For Malawi, opening in MWK means Airtel Money and Mpamba are available and no conversion cost is incurred. Choosing USD or EUR instead may remove local rails from the cashier entirely.
The terms note that payments received in a currency other than your account currency are converted at the prevailing rate, with any exchange premium payable by you.
Why the name field matters
Three things get cross-checked: your profile name, your identity document, and the name on your payment method. All three must agree.
The terms state you must specify your legal name, that the operator may verify accuracy, and that you are not allowed to change this data except by individual request to support for genuine errors.
Transliteration is the common failure point in many markets — spelling variants of the same name produce a mismatch. Use the exact spelling from the document you intend to upload.
What happens right after registration
The account exists but is not finished. Three things remain, and doing them immediately prevents almost every problem people report later:
- Verify your contact channel. Bonuses will not credit and recovery has nowhere to send codes without it.
- Enable 2FA. The operator explicitly disclaims liability for third-party access resulting from credential disclosure.
- Upload KYC documents. Nothing forces this yet, which is exactly why people postpone it and then wait at withdrawal time.
WePari in Malawi — the local picture
Malawi accounts operate in MWK, and that single setting shapes most of the experience. It determines which payment methods appear in the cashier, what the minimums translate to, and whether local rails such as Airtel Money are offered at all. WePari supports over 100 currencies, so opening in MWK avoids the conversion premiums the terms make payable by the customer.
Payment rails that work here
The options Malawi players actually use are Airtel Money, Mpamba and USDT, within the broader list: Airtel Money, Mpamba, Bank Transfer, USDT. Deposits start around MK 2,000, withdrawals around MK 4,000, and payouts typically complete in 15 minutes to 24 hours once approved.
Cryptocurrency behaves identically regardless of country, which is why it is often the most predictable route. USDT on the Tron network is the usual choice for cost and speed.
What gets bet on
football dominates volume here, with netball and athletics following. The competitions carrying the deepest market coverage are Malawi Super League and CAF Champions League, with Premier League also well served. Fixtures involving Nyasa Big Bullets, Silver Strikers and Mighty Wanderers attract the widest range of markets available domestically.
Beyond domestic competition, international tournaments draw heavy interest from Malawi and carry the platform's most competitive pricing, because that is where liquidity is highest.
Language and support reality
The interface is available in 55+ languages and English is among them. Support, however, operates in English, Turkish and Azerbaijani only, and the terms and conditions are translated into just English, Spanish, Turkish and Azerbaijani.
For Malawi players that means any dispute is likely to be handled in English, and the binding agreement exists in a language that may not be the one you browsed the site in. Independent reviewers flagged this specifically.
Legal position
WePari serves Malawi under licence ALSI-202409004-FI1 from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros. There is no local licence. The terms place responsibility on you to confirm that online gambling is lawful where you live, and state that availability of the website in a territory is not in itself authorisation.
Practically, this means dispute resolution runs through the operator's internal process and then a jurisdiction with limited enforcement capacity — not a regulator in Malawi.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to register?
A mobile number, an email address, a username and password, and your legal name. You must be 18 or older, or the higher legal minimum in Malawi.
Can I change my name after registering?
Not freely. The terms state you are not allowed to change this data, with exceptions handled individually by support for genuine mistakes. Enter it correctly the first time.
How many accounts can I have?
One — and only one per household, IP address and device. Duplicates can result in all accounts closed, bets voided and winnings forfeited.
What documents does verification need?
Identity document, proof of address, card images with the middle digits and CVV covered, a bank statement, and proof of ownership of any other payment method used.
When should I verify?
On day one. Verification runs independently of withdrawals, so completing it early removes the main cause of delayed first payouts.
